内容摘要：The properties of materials are typically governed by their microstructure. Microstructure characterisation and reconstruction combine with numerical modelling and simulation is an important component to understand the behaviour of materials and build the structure-property relationship. Commonly used microstructure characterisation and reconstruction methods will be briefly introduced here.

李奕霖，蒙纳士大学博士研究生。研究方向：复合材料微观结构的描述与重建. 基于体视学方法的孔隙材料微观结构描述与重建。基于微观结构，结合包括有限元方法和计算流体力学方法等数值方法的材料性质预测。
